What and where do the funds from the CCS Auction & Dinner go?

  • The money raised through the auction goes towards the CCS Annual Fund.  Each year, CCS must raise an allotted amount of money to fill the gap between the actual cost of education and tuition charged.  This money helps fill that gap.

 

Do I have to buy items in either the silent or live auctions?

  • If you attend, you are under no obligation to make a purchase.  This is a wonderful time to get to know other CCS parents, friends, and alumni!

 

How do we bid on items?

  • We’re excited to again offer mobile bidding because if you can’t make it to the main event, you can still bid!  Our user-friendly mobile application can be accessed on any phone, tablet, or mobile device.

    
Never used Mobile Bidding?  No worries.  Here is a short overview:

  • Download the Handbid app from the App Store or Google Play Store
  • Create account:  Follow the prompts to create a Handbid account
  • Find Auction:  Find our action and accept push notifications (we strongly suggest you “Accept notifications from this app” when you open it and join an auction. This will allow you to get push notifications for “Outbid” messages during the auction.
  • Select Community Christian School Auction & Dinner from the list of auction and swipe left to enter the auction.  
  • Once in the auction, swipe left/right to access categories and up/down to access items.  


Here are some tips to help you use Handbid

  • MAX BID:  This is the max you are willing to spend for an item and Handbid system will automatically bid for you until you reach your max.  Set a max bid and enjoy your evening!
  • NOTIFICATIONS: If you have downloaded the Handbid App and accepted push notifications, you will be notified by push notifications when you are outbid on an item.  If you don’t have the app you will receive text messages from Handbid.
  • DASHBOARD: Monitor what you are currently winning and losing on the Dashboard screen in your app or online. 

How do I pay?

  • You will register your credit card which will be used for purchases for the online bidding.  At the end of the night you will receive an itemized electronic receipt for all items you “won” as well as any other donations that you made.
     

Do I need cash?

  • Please bring cash, if you plan to enjoy the cash bar.

Other important tips:

  • Make sure your phone is charged!
  • Be ready to have some fun and support Christian education at Community Christian School!
