The Community Christian School Foundation
The Community Christian School Foundation was established in 1989 for the purpose of providing support for CCS, augment its programs, and assist with the operational budget of the school each year. The CCS Foundation's purpose is to promote, accept and manage gifts of property, securities, life insurance, bequests, cash and other forms of contributions for the sole benefit of Community Christian School, its students and succeeding generations. The growth of this Foundation is necessary to enable the Community Christian School to continue to be a viable force in our community and be affordable to all families desiring Christian education. How it works The CCS Foundation is a separate legal entity from Community Christian School, but exists to help families afford Christian education and enhance the educational experience of students attending CCS. The Foundation has a board that meets quarterly to review and assess the activities of the various accounts. The CCS Foundation has a principal year-to-date balance of approximately $785,000. These funds are invested in a diversified portfolio and a portion of the interest and earnings from this principal is designated for each school year. The principal itself may not be used; only the interest earned on the principal may be used. During the present fiscal year, the CCS Foundation will give approximately $29,000 toward the operating budget of CCS. How can you become a part of the CCS Foundation?
