Educational Philosophy
Committed to excellence, Community Christian School strives to provide students with the tools necessary for a life of learning. Our goal is to instill loving and compassionate spirits in each student at CCS. As stated in our Mission Statement, the center of our educational program is our belief in the Word of God. With the Psalmist, we believe that God's ³Word is a lamp² to our feet. We wish to enable our children to see God's hand and leading in all areas of life. We also wish to work hand in hand with the parents of our children sharing common values and educational goals.

Educating for Excellence:
We have athletic and musical opportunities as well as physical education and the arts. Our facility includes large classrooms, a newly computerized and remodeled library, a computer lab, technology integration in our curriculum, and a large gymnasium. Every subject recognizes the Lordship of Christ as revealed in His Word.

Test Scores
High academic standards motivate students to achieve according to their individual abilities. Our ITBS scores show our students scoring consistently in the 76th percentile nationally.

Standardized testing is an important tool for CCS to use as it evaluates its program. We currently use the Iowa Test of Basic Skills in the spring for grades 3-8.

On the ITBS, our students consistently test to be above grade level and are in the top 70 percentile nationally.
